Cool Bike Helmets for Adults

We set out to find some cool bike helmets for adults. Not all adults care to wear a funky Nutcase helmet or a solid Bell helmet from the local big box store.  We were in search of something cooler, more comfortable and stylish.  There’s no better way to get your child to wear a helmet then leading by example.

We selected some cool bike helmets that not only look good, but offer breath-ability, style, performance and are lightweight.

Thousand Epoch Helmet

The Thousand Epoch is a focused around an iconic shell design with true colors that are as much a work of art as they are a quality bike helmet. We are big fans of magnetic buckles on helmets for the easing of clasping.  Thousand has numerous classic finishes and colors to choose from; the Thousand Epoch is a beauty. check out their Kickstarter campaign that started it all here.

Yakkay Helmets

Yakkay is a bike helmet company from Denmark founded by a group of leading Danish designers.  Their quest was to take their design talents and create head protection that stylish people love to wear. Their website has an easy-to-use system that allows you to pick the inner shell that’s available in four colors and then pair it with a cover.  Currently Yakkay offers 9 different cover styles.  Our favorite is the Paris New York Cover (shown above).  One downfall for these helmets is the sizing – either your head shape works with a Yakkay or it doesn’t.  Even though there are 3 sizes to choose from, you will find that they may not fit all head shapes.
